Consultation has concluded

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your comments.

We received lots of ideas on the following themes – and we’ll be sharing these with different services to see what we can take forward.

  • Limited parking and reckless driving.
  • Refuse/fly-tipping and littering.
  • Shop improvements.
  • Environmental improvements.
  • Bus routes.

Actions

  • Limited parking and reckless driving
  1. Unfortunately, the council has a policy of reducing the amount of hard standing we install, this is because of the reduction of biodiversity, the cost and the increased likelihood of floods.
  2. We are examining the possibility of installing a zebra crossing and/or speed bumps between the school and the new Play Park.
  • Refuse/fly-tipping and littering.
  1. The Housing Advisory Panel have funded and installed 8 Litter and Dog poo bins throughout the estate's green spaces.
  2. A barrier was installed to prevent people backing up and fly-tipping.
  • Shop improvements.
  1. The shopping area has received a new door and a much deserved make over.
  2. After unsuccessful roofing repairs, the shop received a full new roof - stopping the leaks.
  • Environmental improvements
  1. There is now a new memorial garden with a bench and flowers.
  2. Other areas are being considered for landscaping improvement.
  • Bus routes -
  • The councillors have spoken with the bus companies regarding the bus routes and frequency of the service, to reduce isolation for people who don't have private transport.

Thank you very much for your participation.
