Housing Officer role currently being advertised state "no experience necessary"is this about "learning on the job" wondering how Leeds Housing Tenants/Residents are perceiving this.

What is going on with your customer service phone lines 30 and 40 minute waits for LBS and Seacroft Housing to answer calls it seems to be over months now ,not everyone has or is able to use technology ...are you short staffed, taken on too much or something else? Please advise and could the wait times be at the start of "customers" phone contact rather than having to wade through all the announcements only advising "customers"at the end of the 'speeches' so they are not wasting their phone credit etc thanks

There are over100 LCC Highrises across Leeds and I am assuming all use a chute waste system with Bin Rooms (not exactly encouraging recycling !). Has there ever been (in Leeds) a research based trial undertaken of any of the Highrises using only 1100 capacity Black Bins (with lids) positioned next to designated external Green & White Bins. At present the palladins in Bin Rooms have had capacity counts so some might only need 1x1100 (if collected weekly and maybe residents would be more likely to use recycle bins) ....or not. No doubt vandalism/fire risk would be immediately stated however there are risks within the use of Highrise waste chutes/Bin Rooms many of which (in my opinion) are bordering on not being fit for purpose eg chute walls disintegrating bin room doors inadequate etc.Thank you.

This is about LCC Highrise Bin Rooms specifically the fire health and safety aspects which continue to throw up one problem after another Solihull Met Borough Council produced a comprehensive guide to their waste and recycling service ...flats apartments and communal properties it is for managing Agents Housing Associations Landlords and Residents it covers all angles in easy to understand format.Leeds does not appear to have this...I've asked but keep getting headed off to the waste and rubbish /recycling collection times for collection which by the way has very little info and none at all for Highrises.Anyway I think the Solihull guide is worth someone in LCC taking a look at.

This is about rubbish/recycling areas around Roxby's I pass this almost daily the amount of rubbish/items around the recycle bins is a 'picture'!! It seems as if people in the area are at least not strewing it all over the estate but do you think the space could be enlarged and extra more appropriate bins could be given some thought/action. Many families with young children live in the area . To me the facility does not seem adequate for the population it serves. Then there are the health and safety risks to consider. Im sure this has been an issue for some time wonder what is actually being done about it. Please dont say leaflets and education (again) that is no longer the issue (in my opinion) thanks

The area of LS6 looks like a ghetto with graffiti, litter unkempt properties. Could patrols be proactive and address the graffiti, contact homes 're rubbish and unsightly 'garden's this may cut down the rodent problem. Could all bins be numbered and households penalised for leaving them blocking pavements e.g. taken away so households have to buy new ones, preferably numbered and with Miss. Noise ussues need to be taken seriously as it is affecting the mental health of residents young and old. There are also issues with racist intimidation but apparently nothing can be done about it. There seems to be a string if victim blaming as many of the culprits are students. Not good .

Today, 16/12 is the first time I have heard about this project. Do you have any paper information that could be sent out to read and understand it all? It does look a very exciting project for The City of Leeds.

This site should be advertised more - I'd never heard of Your Voice or HAP Funding until recently. Why hasn't every HAP Funding Project for the Community been posted on here from the start irrespective of whether it's for £200 or £2000? and irrespective of whether residents choose to join a Resident Association or not? An ideal example of how to show true inclusion of the whole community is set out in one simple short question under the Marlborough Community Project, i.e. "We've been awarded money from HAP to improve your outside space - please tell us what you'd like us to do with it". After all, this is Public Money whichever pot it comes out of . At least Marlborough Project Leaders have made the minimum effort to be inclusive and respect democratic values in making financial decisions which impact on the Community. Councillors Khan/Regan/Graham as you have ultimate control over how HAP Funding is administered from Civic Hall level to Local Estate/Community level - please note.

Think this website will be a great idea.

I have a comment about the bidding lists for council properties. Would it be more time effective if homes were offered to tenants as soon as they come empty. Then the prospective new tenants could ‘get ready’ for their move instead of it being a rushed situation.
