Consultation has concluded. Thank you to everyone who took part.

We will review the outcome of the consultation and let you know what has been decided.

Kind Regards,

Your Voice Leeds Team.

Final report

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your participation! This consultation is now closed.

The Housing Advisory Panel discussed your comments and have decided to fund three picnic benches for this area to encourage people to enjoy this space more.

We are also looking into the potential for wildflower beds and more trees to be installed.

In the mean time we hope you make the most of your new picnic benches and enjoy the good weather in your park.

Thanks again.

Your Voice Leeds.

Hunslet Tenants and Resident's Association (TARA) and Housing Leeds have joined together to discuss how we could make better use of Hunslet Greenspace.

Situated between the Balmoral's, Rocheford's, Midland's and Hemmingway's this large green space feels underused.

Hunslet TARA recently asked the Community Committee for two new benches and child-friendly painted markings that were installed late last year. They would now like to know what you think about adding some picnic benches to the area or if you have any other suggestions that would encourage you and your neighbours to visit and make use of this space more often.

Please use these tools below to let us know what you would like here.

  • Let us know what ideas you have for the area, this could be events and well as physical changes
  • Let us know in the survey if you like the suggestion of picnic benches.
  • Let your neighbours know about this consultation and please share the link.

We will produce a report of the feedback we receive from you and publish this on Social Media and on Your Voice Leeds once the consultation has concluded.

More about - Hunslet TARA

Hunslet Tenants and Residents Association is here to listen to you and your community, to respond to ideas and help develop the area for the benefit of everyone.

We currently have a gardening group, community litter picking, a project for edible plants and plans for fun days. We would love for you to get involved. You can attend our monthly meetings (on Zoom for now) or lend a hand with running the group or planting some bulbs, whatever you can do to support please let us know.

More About - Housing Advisory Panels

Groups of Housing Leeds tenants are given a modest budget to spend on small community and environmental projects across the city. Applications can come from community groups, councillors or individual residents. The main funding criteria is that Housing Leeds tenants must benefit.

The panel can't fund everything but we do try to get value for money and share costs where practical.

If you would like to know more or should you wish to become a panel member please see the links on this page on how to get involved.

More About - Community Committees

There are 10 community committees across Leeds. Each committee represents a different part of the city and is made up of local councillors from the wards in that area. Find your local Community Committee.

It is their job to make sure local people have a say in decisions about what happens in their neighbourhoods.

The committees also allocate money to fund community projects and youth activities. Find out How to apply for funding.
