Your Tenant Scrutiny Board
We have now closed this consultation into Phase 1 of the current Tenant Scrutiny Review. A report into the review of the Tenant Engagement service will be made available when complete later in the year. Thank you for your participation.
The Tenant Scrutiny Board are a group of independent volunteer tenants who regularly meet to review council housing services. Each year, the Board chooses a part of the housing service to look into, they gather information and use this to make recommendations to help us improve.
The board are now reviewing how well Housing Leeds listens and responds to your feedback and so would like your views about this. This is your opportunity to share your experiences with the board to help them understand how well Housing Leeds does this and your ideas for how this may be improved.
How would you like to give and receive feedback from Housing Leeds?
Housing Leeds currently gets feedback and responds back to tenants by
- Carrying out surveys, learning from these and sharing results
- Holding local drop in events or surgeries for people to visit us and ask questions
- Posting news and updates on our social media
- Sending emails with useful links and info
- Sharing an annual report to all tenants
- Using leaflets, flyers and posters to share news or local info
- Officers getting individual feedback from local tenants, residents and community groups and attending their meetings.

What do other landlords do to get feedback from tenants? has anyone got any ideas to share?

More information needed for tenants on how and what to recycle, including how to find out their bin day.
Many tenants have no idea about recycling or when their bin is due to be put out. Whole boxes and plastic bottles take up a huge amount of space. They need explanation on how to flatten a box and to crush a bottle.

Communal Living should have additional guidelines.
It has become apparent to myself that many people allocated to communal accommodation have no idea how to behave. I would like to see additional guidelines outlining the responsibilities and behaviour required when living alongside others.
